My name is Jenny and I joined the Central City team in 2019. I chose to work in the veterinary field because of my interest in both medicine and animals. Growing up I was featured in the SPCA Kids magazine, attended SPCA camps instead of regular kids camps, raised money for animal shelters, and owned a variety of small animals. I've always said that I like to be with animals more than people. So far, I've completed my BSc in Biology at UBC, and completed a year-long thesis project under Dr. Chris Wood researching environmental effects on rainbow trout. At UBC, I also assisted Dr. Ninan Abraham in his lab with their research on the role of IL-7 in lung diseases on mouse models. I love that in the clinic I am always learning something new and developing personal skills such as patience and accountability. I love the bond we share with each other at the clinic and I love meeting everyone's animals!
A fun fact about me is that just up until I was 17, I wanted to become a professional ballet dancer. In my spare time I like to cook and bake, ID birds, hang out with my pets, travel, and keep myself busy with activities and exercise.
